Three UIC undergraduate courses have been selected as the provincial first-class courses by the Department of Education of Guangdong. They are Fundamentals of Communication by Assistant Professor Dr Chally Lim (Lim Chai Lee), Advanced Scriptwriting by Associate Professor Dr Jiang Wei, and Management Information Systems by Associate Professor Dr May Wang (Wang Ying).
The Fundamentals of Communication course is one of the major required courses for undergraduates. The course will approach theories and types of media with daily-life examples, touring students in the world of communication with lucid language. Besides, it embraces diversity, laying a solid academic foundation for students in an intercultural and international phenomenon.

The Advanced Scriptwriting course aims at cultivating students to master the fundamental theories and skills for all sorts of scriptwriting while stimulating their creativity and adaptability through various projects. The course is set for year-three and year-four students, and during this course, they will learn practical skills and the industry's latest development to advance with the times.

The Management Information Systems course is to boost students' ability in tech innovation. The course initiates students with interdisciplinary case-based teaching and project-based practice, motivating students entirely. It also requires the application of analytical tools and research databases, which is indispensable for students' future development in academia and careers.

UIC has always attached great value to undergraduate education and encouraged teachers to innovate their teaching methods, effectively improving the college's overall teaching equality. In 2021, UIC was listed in Guangdong high-level university development plan.
