UIC projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation

The National Natural Science Foundation of China recently announced the project review results for 2022, in which 15 UIC faculty members received funding for two key projects, seven general projects, five youth fund projects and one foreign scholar research project.

The recipients of the funding for the key projects are Prof Huang Huaxiong and Prof Sun Weiwei; both are of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Research Centre for Mathematics.

The recipients of the funding for the general projects are: Dr Chen Xiaoyi of the Faculty of Science and Technology; Dr Chai Junyi of the Faculty of Business and Management; Prof Jia Weijia of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Institute of AI and Future Networks; Prof Pan Jianxin, Prof Di Yana, Prof Zhang Qiang, three of them are members of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Research Centre for Mathematics; and Dr Fan Wentao of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

The recipients of the funding for the youth fund projects are five staff of the Faculty of Science and Technology,  and they are Dr Ma Chuoxin, Dr Chen Jiaxing, Dr Cai Xiaofeng (member of the Research Centre for Mathematics), Dr Guo Jianxiong (member of the Institute of AI and Future Networks) and Dr Wang Chenhao (member of the Institute of AI and Future Networks).

The recipient of the funding for the foreign scholar research is Dr Lee Wonjung of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Research Centre for Mathematics.

UIC has achieved record-breaking results in the National Natural Science Foundation of China project submission this year, boosting the College's development of scientific research and encouraging more staff members to devote themselves to scientific research.
