Published on 26 June 2023

UIC Comprehensive Evaluation Admission (CEA) Examination for Guangdong Province was held on 19 and 20 June 2023. The number of applicants reached nearly 12,000 this year, a record high and an increase of more than 60% over last year. After a strict assessment, more than 7,600 candidates qualified for the examination.

UIC has organised the CEA exam for 11 years. This year it was conducted in a "dual cameras" setting, and candidates were required to do an English interview online.

A test run for candidates was held from 11 to 15 June to rehearse the procedure to ensure they were well-prepared for the final interview.

The CEA exam is known for its "6:3:1" ratio, which means that 60% of the candidates' scores in the college entrance examination, 30% in the CEA exam, and 10% from high school will be considered.
