UIC's Class of 2023 awarded degrees at HKBU 64th Commencement

The 64th Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Commencement - UIC Session was held at HKBU on 18 July 2023.

A total of 1596 UIC undergraduates were awarded HKBU degree certificates, with 596 receiving first-class honours. Additionally, 911 master's students received HKBU degree certificates, with 137 graduating with distinction.

The ceremony was presided over by Acting President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU Prof Rick W. K. Wong, and Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) of HKBU Dr Albert Chau.

Graduate representatives were also invited to speak at the ceremony. Liu Wanru of the Department of Culture, Creativity and Design, Liu Peiqi of the Department of Accounting, Dong Yanhong of Master of Arts in Communication-Media Management Concentration, and Liu Zhen of Master of Arts in Interactive Media Studies Concentration took the stage to share their experiences in academic and personal growth during their time at UIC. They thanked UIC's liberal arts education for nurturing their abilities and self-confidence, expanding their horizons, and harvesting their dreams while being a better self.

By July 2023, the class of 2023 who applied for further studies have been admitted by elite universities and colleges, including Cambridge University, Oxford University, the National University of Singapore, the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Edinburgh, Princeton University, Yale University, Nanyang Technological University and more.
