Celebrating UIC's excellence: The 65th HKBU Commencement

The 65th Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Commencement - UIC Sessions were held at HKBU from 13 to 14 June 2024. Over 3000 UIC undergraduates and graduates received degrees from HKBU.

UIC's undergraduates receive HKBU Bachelor's Degrees and UIC Graduation Certificates, and its postgraduates earn HKBU degrees. Its students will have two graduation ceremonies, one at UIC and the other at HKBU. This year, UIC will organise its 16th Graduation Ceremony and Honorary Fellowship Conferment from 20 to 21 June.

The ceremony was divided into six sessions, presided respectively by HKBU senior management President and Vice-Chancellor Prof Alexander Ping-kong Wai, Provost Prof Martin DF Wong, and Acting Vice-President (Research and Development) Prof Liu Jiming.

The Class of 2024 consists of around 2000 undergraduates. As of June 2024, those who have chosen to continue their studies have been admitted to prestigious universities such as the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London, National University of Singapore, University College London, the University of Pennsylvania, UC Berkeley, Cornell University, the University of Chicago and Yale University. Those who have received job offers will be joining globally renowned organisations, such as the Big Four global accounting firms, including Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG); ByteDance, L'Oréal Group and Kunshan Customs.
