As summer sets in, the 66th Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) Graduation Ceremony – BNBU Session was held from 19 to 20 June 2025 in Hong Kong. BNBU's Class of 2025 gathered in Kowloon Tong with their families and friends to celebrate this milestone moment.

The ceremony consisted of six sessions, each officiated by HKBU senior management, including President Prof Alexander Wai, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) Dr Albert Chau, and Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary Dr Christine Chow.
Attending from BNBU were President Prof Chen Zhi, Provost Prof Patrick Chau, Party Secretary of the University Party Committee and Vice President (Administration) Prof Mao Yaqing, Associate Vice President (Teaching and Learning) and Dean of the Graduate School Prof Huang Yu, Associate Vice President (Student Development) Prof Stella Cho, Academic Registrar Prof Li Jianhui, and Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management Prof Adolf Ng, Associate Dean for Research and Development of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof Zhao Xiaobin, Acting Dean and Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning of the Faculty of Science and Technology Prof Ye Huajun, Dean of the School of Culture and Creativity Prof Eugene Ch'ng, and Associate Dean of Graduate School Dr Ricky Hou.
In their remarks, HKBU faculty leaders, including Dean of the School of Communication Prof Zhong Bu, Associate Vice-President for Research Development Prof Liu Jiming, Associate Vice-President for Transdisciplinary Education Prof William Cheung, and Dean of the School of Business Prof Zhang Han, offered heartfelt advice. Reflecting on the rise of AI and its profound impact on society, they encouraged graduates to embrace interdisciplinary and holistic thinking, remain lifelong learners, lead through innovation, and pursue personal fulfillment through service and contribution.
BNBU graduate representatives Hu Zimeng, Yin Yuanbo, Yang Xiwen, Chen Xintong, Ma Yihao, and Luo Jieping shared their reflections, recalling the meaningful and transformative years at the university. Nourished by BNBU's liberal arts education and supported by faculty, friends, and family, they have grown with courage and purpose. As they step forward, they carry with them the passion, confidence, and possibilities gained at BNBU, ready to embrace a wider stage in life.
This year, over 2,000 BNBU undergraduates received their BNBU graduation certificates and HKBU bachelor's degrees, while around 1,300 postgraduates were awarded HKBU degrees. As the graduates step into the next chapter, many have already received offers for further studies from world-renowned universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial College London, ETH Zurich, UC Berkeley, Yale, Columbia, University College London, the National University of Singapore, Carnegie Mellon, and other top institutions in China, including Xiamen University, Jilin University, Hunan University, Central University of Finance and Economics. Others are joining leading employers such as ByteDance, Gree Electric Appliances, the Big Four accounting firms, and Shenzhen Customs.
