UIC launches nationwide admission information sessions

Recently, UIC has launched admission information sessions to help prospective students and parents learn about the latest information.

On 11 April 2020, UIC Provost Prof Chen Zhi and Director of Admission Office Ms Lin Qunying arrived in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, to introduce and promote liberal arts education and 2021 UIC admission policy.

Prof Chen introduces UIC's innovative liberal arts education, which provides students opportunities to learn about China and have a global outlook. According to him, UIC insists on providing an excellent academic and English teaching environment, introducing outstanding experts and scholars, and striving to cultivate exceptional talents with a global vision. In recent years, more than 70% of graduates continue their further study abroad. A total of 74.4% of fresh graduates in 2020 who opted for further study got admission to the world's top 100 universities.


Prof Chen said that UIC is planning on the second phase campus’s construction and will promote the cultivation of talents and development of scientific research. UIC would grow with Zhuhai and contribute to the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.


UIC Admission Office also held an online admission information session on 10 April. UIC’s Vice President (Academic) and the Dean of the Division of Science and Technology, Prof Huang Huaxiong, communicated with prospective students and their parents during the session.

UIC will enrol Band One students from 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in 2021, and will continue to implement the Comprehensive Evaluation Admission for Guangdong Province. 

2021 admission information sessions in different cities

This year, UIC is expected to offer 29 undergraduate programmes, including newly proposed programmes: Artificial Intelligence; Digital Social Science; Animation and Interactive Media; Chinese Culture and Global Communication; as well as Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management. These inter-disciplinary subjects meet the demands of social development.

More admission information sessions will soon be held in different cities, including Zhejiang, Anhui, Guangxi, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Guangzhou.
