The UIC Scholarship Presentation Ceremony for the Academic Year 2021-2022 was held on 22 February 2023.

The total amount of scholarships for this academic year exceeded RMB 20 million, benefiting more than 2,200 students, a record high for the total amount of scholarships and the number of recipients.
UIC President, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences Prof Tang Tao shared the development of UIC campus construction and the achievements of teachers and students in 2022 with the audience.

Prof Tang hoped that students at UIC could be motivated to strive for self-improvement in the atmosphere of liberal arts education and contribute to society.
Prof Tang presents scholarships to students
UIC's senior management, faculty and staff along with other guests attended the ceremony. A total of 30 scholarships funded by the government, the university and the community were set up this time. The Guangdong Medical Valley Scholarship was newly established by the Guangdong Medical Valley. It was presented to 20 students with excellent academic performance and passion for research and public welfare.
A record high number of students receive scholarships with excellent performance
Chen Yunqing is a year-three student of the Applied Translation Studies Programme, and she was a winner of the National Scholarship, the Mr Fung Sun Kwan Scholarship of Excellence and the Dean's Award. She said that UIC cultivates students to think critically with knowledge and truth, and she looked forward to participating in cross-cultural communication in the future.
