Hong Kong Baptist University President and Vice-Chancellor Prof Alexander Ping-kong Wai visited UIC on 20 March 2023. UIC President, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences Prof Tang Tao welcomed Prof Wai and his delegation and accompanied them to tour the first-phase and second-phase campus.

They exchanged ideas on campus construction, discipline development, and future planning. During the visit, the deans of UIC introduced to the guests the construction, student development, curriculum and academic research of their faculties and schools.
Prof Wai and Prof Tang exchange ideas on various topics
Prof Wai expressed that the two universities are a family and hoped they would further deepen cooperation in the future, seize the historical opportunity of the development of the Greater Bay Area and contribute to the region.
