The Learning Resource Centre and Laboratory Complex of BNBU’s Phase II Campus has won the prestigious 5-Star Best Public Service Architecture award at the 2025 Asia Pacific Property Awards (APPA) recently. The project has also been nominated for the Best Public Service Architecture award in both the Asia Pacific and Global categories, setting its sights on the highest international honours.

This latest accolade adds to a growing list of international recognitions for BNBU’s Phase II campus, reflecting the university’s commitment to providing innovation in higher education with high-quality infrastructure.
Located at the heart of the Phase II campus, the Learning Resource Centre and Laboratory Complex integrates a multifunctional library, laboratories, shared public service spaces, and a sky garden. The building features a distinctive cubic form that marries architectural order with creative flair.

In recent years, the Phase II campus has been recognised by several globally renowned institutions. Its overall plan has received the Silver Award in Public Space Architecture Design in the Municipal Building Category from the International Design Awards (IDA) in the US, an Honourable Mention from the Architecture MasterPrize (AMP) in the US, a Golden Award in Architectural Design Category from the Novum Design Award (NDA) in France, and an Honorable Mention in Culture/Education Category of the REARD Global Real Estate Design Awards.
Spanning approximately 550 mu (about 91 acres) with a planned floor area of 400,000 square metres, the Phase II campus is composed of three clusters of scientific research buildings, teaching blocks and residence halls. The residential halls, which have already been put into use, were previously recognised with the Best Public Service Architecture Award by the APPA in 2022.

The APPA's panel consists of leading international experts in design, quality, innovation, and sustainability. Widely regarded as one of the region's most prestigious honours, the awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry.
Through continued recognition in global competitions, BNBU affirms its forward-looking commitment to creating a world-class, student-centred learning environment that inspires academic exploration and supports a transformative liberal arts education.
