International writers read out reflections on life

Four international prominent writers read their poems, fictional work and other writing to the UIC audience and shared their understanding of life at the International Writers’ Workshop on 4 November. The writers were Philippine poet Richard de Ungria, Burmese essayist, short story writer and journalist Khet Mar, Irish writer Philip Ó Ceallaigh, and Taiwanese fiction and prose writer Chung Wen-yin. The workshop was sponsored by UIC’s Division of Humanities of Social Sciences Contemporary English Language and Literature Programme.
