“Changes of population, urbanisation and industrialisation, burdens of diseases, behaviour and environment, and unreasonable resources allocation are five main challenges of public health now in China,” said Prof Dong Hengjin at his lecture on “Public Health Challenges in China” at UIC on 12 November.

Prof Dong, Executive Director of the Centre for Health Policy Studies at Zhejiang University, analysed the Chinese public health situation from three aspects: health policy, healthcare system, and public health achievements. He explained public health challenges with basic statistics and illustrations.
The lecture was organised by General Education Office.
