On June 30, UIC Vice President Prof. Zee Sze Yong, along with representatives of Beijing Normal University Zhuhai and Zhuhai City Polytechnic, signed a joint agreement with Vice Secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal CPC Committee Wang Yanshi to form a research centre for social management.
The centre would train a new generation of social work personnel for Zhuhai.
UIC staff member Prof. Johnston Wong and Mr. Ng Yiu Fai, Mr. Ng Shui-Lai and other 17 committee members from various institutions had been invited to join the Zhuhai Social Innovation Expert Consultancy Committee which would serve as a “think tank” for social development.
Mr. Y.F. Ng would also serve as Project Supervisor to lead for a municipal caring service for disabled children at a social welfare base for one year.
