On June 17, 2006, 10 high school students and parents from Hong Kong visited UIC.
We first showed them around our campus, to give them an overview of the surroundings and teaching facilities. All the visitors were impressed by the beautiful landscape and conmfortable living facilities. During a meeting Prof. Kwan briefly introduced the educational background, the philosophy of UIC and our recruitment situation. Then the visitors had an exchange with UIC students concerning campus life and learning experience. The meeting ended up with laughter and warm applause.
This visit helped some more Hong Kong people to know about UIC while bringing UIC to the world beyond our doors.
