On June 23, 2006, twenty-three participants from the 14th International Employment Relations Association Conference visited UIC, who were professionals in human resource area from UK, Australia, Germany and several other European countries. Prof. S.Y. Zee, the Dean of Science and Technology, gave the visitors a brief and vivid introduction of UIC, including its history, academic programs and goals. He also said that even though UIC was a newly founded University it would go beyond the local geographic boundaries and expose itself to the academic world in the days to come.
