On 26th March 2006, Hong Kong Baptist University alumni from Southern California, U.S.A, visited UIC. First they were shown around the UIC campus. Then Dr. Hou Yuen-Tan gave a brief introduction of the foundation background and development of UIC. The alumni were surprised at the success of UIC in such a short time and they asked many questions about the teaching staff, students and future development plan for UIC. After the introduction, some students of UIC talked with the alumni, which made the alumni have a better understanding of UIC.
