On March 18th, 2006, we had a visit from Dr. David Decker，Dean of the School of Management, and Dr. Scott Liu, Coordinator of Far East Education of the School of Management in New York Institute of Technology. We had a meeting and talked over cooperation between NYIT and UIC.
The meeting mainly dealt with the exchange student and articulation program. Prof. Kwok also suggested that UIC help NYIT to build up a communicating network in Pearl River Delta region which is not only for research but also a platform for cross- cultural industry. Prof. Decker showed great interest in the suggestion and said that NYIT would like to bring some NYIT programs to UIC and collaborate with UIC.
This meeting provided both universities with a good opportunity to know each other better, and is a good opening for future collaboration.
