On 7 March 2006, Dr. Harold S. Oh., from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), U.S.A, Mr. Steven Yung, the Chairman of Hong Kong Clear Channel, and Dr. Dennis P. McCann visited UIC. In the meeting, UIC Executive Vice-President Prof. Kwok gave an introduction about UIC on its background, educational philosophy, faculty structure, goal in future etc. UIC’s WHOLE PERSON EDUCATION impressed the visitors and they believed that UIC would bring China to the world and the world to China.
Prof. Kwok stated that UIC was open to various kinds of international collaborations, including exchange student/staff programs, articulation, summer/winter programs and a joint campus. Dr Harold S. Oh expressed his great interests in these ideas.
