The International Academic Book Exhibition filled the Entrance Hall on the second floor of the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) with thousands of books from genres of all types. The exhibition ran for four days from 14 to 17 October.

International Academic Books Exhibition
The book exhibition has been happening every semester for the past five years and aims to increase the knowledge and resources in the library in order to further and expand students and staff's education at UIC.

An array of international books
The books are from renowned international academic publishers with subject coverage closely related to the UIC academic programmes. Students and staff are able to select books to add to LRC’s collection.

Assistant College Librarian (Acquisition and Collection), Ms Yolanda Tan Huiyan explained the necessity for UIC to get international books as the college's language of instruction is English. She said, “We have book agents come here in order for students and staff to choose the books they want to read and the books they think would be helpful for research as well as for the different departments across campus.”
