Prof Jiang Song on NSFC policies for UIC faculty

UIC invited Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and applied mathematician Mr Jiang Song to give a lecture on NSFC application on the afternoon of 15 April. This lecture was to help to encourage UIC faculty to apply for various national research projects and better understand the relevant policies and regulations of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).

Vice President (Research and Development) of UIC Prof Jia Weijia hosted the lecture and delivered a speech. Prof Jia Weijia encouraged the faculty to carefully study the relevant policies to continue developing scientific research at UIC.

Mr Jiang Song introduced the basic situation of NSFC from the aspects of fund positioning, funding scope, project application, evaluation procedures and explained the new policies, regulations and changes taken by NSFC in detail.

UIC faculty asking questions actively

Mr Jiang Song is a researcher and doctoral supervisor of Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics. He was elected as a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015 and serves as the director of the 7th expert advisory committee of the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences of NSFC since 2018. He has won many prizes including the second prize of National Natural Science Award.
