Prof Gong said that when Chinese classic literature is translated to foreign languages, some Western translators twist the original meanings to adapt to their local culture. Moreover, some traditional costumes and ceremonies are changed improperly in China.

Prof Gong encouraged young people to learn about and promote traditional Chinese culture.
