The online lecture series "New perspectives on the old world" co-hosted by Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology of Hong Kong Baptist University, Institute of Oriental Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences and UIC, began with the first lecture by UIC Provost Prof Chen Zhi on 22 October. The lecture series brings together Chinese and Western scholars to integrate the advantages of Eastern and Western research, share research results and carry out in-depth academic discussions. The online lectures sequence is held monthly until next June.
