Hong Kong Symphonic Winds perform at UIC

The Division of Culture and Creativity (DCC) Music Programme held its second music concert event featuring the Hong Kong Symphonic Winds (HKSW) on 21 November.

The Hong Kong Symphonic Winds 

This performance included various music genres from different countries, and even songs from Studio Ghibli’s movies like ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ and ‘My Neighbor Totoro’.

HKSW Percussion section

The brass, woodwind, and percussion sections played in groups, before the performance closed with the whole band on stage. The Associate Music Director and Conductor Mr Fung Ka Hing enthusiastically got the audience to clap along to the beat of the music.

DST Foreign Intern Erica Lindsey expressed how she “Loved the musicianship and talent that the ensemble members showed with the wide variety of music they performed.” She mentioned she could tell that they care a lot about what they do and about their ensemble.
