Delegates from Georgetown University visited Zhuhai to sign the Memorandum of Understanding with UIC on 14 November. The new agreement is valid until November 2023. The renewal improves the terms under which students receive scholarships.

In the afternoon, the delegates held an information session for UIC students about Biomedical Graduate Programmes at Georgetown University. During the session, UIC graduates who had studied at Georgetown University shared their experiences of postgraduate life.

Georgetown University is a 225-year-old private research university in Washington DC and one of the world’s leading academic and research institutions. They have collaborated with UIC since November 2013. Some UIC graduates from Statistics, Food Science and Technology, Environmental Science and Financial Mathematics have been successfully accepted to Biomedical Graduate Programmes at Georgetown University.
