IDO attends APAIE 2018 conference

Director of the International Development Office (IDO), Dr Katharina Yu, and Assistant Director, Ms Mei Li, attended the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2018 Conference in Singapore from 24 to 29 March on behalf of UIC.

The theme of APAIE 2018 was ‘The Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Higher Education in the Asia Pacific’. The sub-themes addressed topics such as the ‘Technological advances impacting internationalisation in higher education’, ‘Empowering future-ready graduates’, ‘New modalities in global engagement and mobility’ as well as ‘International research competition and collaboration’.

This annual conference is the biggest of its kind in the Asia Pacific region. It is an excellent opportunity to keep up with the currents trends of internationalization in the region, to reconnect with partners, and to expand UIC’s international network.
