UIC and Zhongshan Bo’ai Hospital signed a strategic cooperation agreement on 17 January to boost collaborative teaching, learning and research activities as well as social services.
Dean of UIC’s Division of Science and Technology, Prof Stephen Chung, and the president of Zhongshan Bo’ai Hospital, Wang Ying, represented both parties to pen the agreement.
Zhongshan Bo’ai Hospital is a top-ranked comprehensive hospital in Guangdong. In addition, the Hospital is also an affiliated research unit of the Southern Medical University.
UIC emphasises excellent teaching and caring for students but also develops the research-teaching nexus. It established the Graduate School in 2017 and began to offer research MPhil and PhD programmes. This collaboration with Zhongshan Bo’ai Hospital will allow UIC’s researchers to seek more inter-disciplinary studies.
