Active participation on Sports Day

On 30 November, UIC’s 11th Sports Day officially began. This year, the events were divided over two days, 30 November and 2 December, and included both fun games and more competitive athletics sports. The events were held both at the UIC new campus and at the sports ground of nearby Foreign Languages School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University Zhuhai.

After the flag-raising ceremony on the morning of 30 November, President Ng Ching-Fai announced that Sports Day had begun. The UIC Dragon and Lion Dance Team performed to start the event, and then the sporting events began. As a highly anticipated annual event, teachers and students were enthusiastic about participating. There were 17 individual athletics events, three group events and five fun events this year. Highlights included ball sports that the new Sports Complex had made possible.
