University of Salford delegates visit UIC

A delegation from the University of Salford, Manchester, UK, visited UIC to explore further potential areas of collaboration on 17 May. The delegation was represented by Prof Abigail Gregory, Associate Dean (International) for the College of Arts and Social Sciences, Prof Allan Walker, Dean of School of Arts and Media, and Miss Nicole Li, China Representative at Beijing Office of the University.

In the morning, the delegation had a meeting with Prof Aaron Chiu, Interim Dean of the Division of Culture and Creativity (DCC); Dr David Walters, Assistant Professor and Programme Director for Music Minor; Dr Ip Kim Kuok, Assistant Professor of DCC; as well as Dr Katharina YU, Director of International Development Office (IDO), and Ms Mei Li, Assistant Director of IDO to develop an even tighter relationship with one another.

A visit to the new campus

Afterwards, they joined in a tour of the UIC new campus, guided by Dr David Walters.

The visit of the University of Salford enhanced the relationship between the two universities and more cooperation can be expected in the near future.
