UIC held the first Career Expo on 11 March, where a total of 26 companies providing more than 200 jobs interested over a thousand visitors.
The expo built a platform for UIC students to communicate with potential employers by offering information sessions, job-hunting skills, on-site job interviews and more.
The participating companies included a variety of fields, including manufacturing, aviation, hospitality, banking, electronics, information technology and education. Amongst them were famous companies such as Coloplast, Bosch, Singyes Solar, Marriott, Hilton, HSBC, Dell and Eslite.
UIC President Prof Ng Ching-Fai highlighted during his opening address that over half of the exhibitors, who showed great interest in UIC’s graduates, came from Zhuhai. He said UIC had taken root in Zhuhai and encouraged students to embark on their careers in local companies.

Guo Jianpeng is now the assistant vice president of Sun International Financial Group based in Hong Kong. He said the Hong Kong headquarters sought to recruit employees from UIC students for the first time as they realise that UIC students are more willing to communicate than local students in Hong Kong.
