PRA student wins first prize in national art design competition

Public Relations and Advertising (PRA) student Lin Qianci won the first prize at the Sixth National Advertising Art Design Competition for College Students held on 18 September. Her fellow student, Lyu Silu received an award of merit for her submission to the contest.

Their works were also recognised as the second and third prizes in Guangdong Province, before qualifying for the national competition. Two additional groups of PRA students earned an award of merit in Guangdong.

The intense competition received more than 140,000 entries which were submitted by contestants from 2,427 universities from around China.

Though close to final examinations and short on preparation time, the multiple awards proved that UIC students could be successful, even when competing against such a large group of schools.

“They did a lot of research on a tight schedule. I’m glad that they have gained so much experience and success from the competition,” said Dr Hu Fan, Programme Director of PRA.
