A total of 22 higher institutions participate in the fifth International Postgraduate Education Fair at UIC. |
“I can obtain fresh and accurate information about studying abroad here,” said Eavan, Year Four student of UIC’s Cinema and Television Programme, among crowds of spectators at the fifth International Postgraduate Education Fair at UIC on 1 November.
“I consult university staff directly. It’s more convenient than searching information online,” she added.
She took a close-up view and scrutinised the programmes presented by universities from countries and regions including the US, the UK, France, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong.
A total of 22 higher institutions participated in the Fair, attracting hundreds of students, parents and adult learners from Zhuhai and nearby cities.
Information sessions on programmes, admission requirements and scholarships were held by the University of Warwick, Monash University, Queensland University of Technology, Hamline University, Victoria University of Wellington, Hong Kong Baptist University, The University of Hong Kong and other participants.

UIC President Prof Ng Ching-Fai told the audience at the opening of the Fair that UIC gives students an international perspective, adding that every year more than 50% of them choose to study abroad after graduation.

The State University of New York at Stony Brook demonstrates an unremitting interest in UIC students, for it set up a booth for the third time at the Fair. Some of its students enrolled from UIC have started a very promising career in the US.
Representatives from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, said UIC graduates have shown great potential and remarkable abilities at their university. The university’s master’s programme in Technopreneurship and Innovation is open for such students.
