Students show environment investigation results on posters

UIC students investigated the local environment and reported their findings at the Environmental Awareness Programme Poster Exhibition from 18 to 20 November.

The exhibition featured three topics: community research, campus investigation and natural observation. Forty-four groups of students participated in the project that displayed their research results on posters. To enhance authenticity and accuracy, students consulted relevant authorities and looked up national environmental standards.

Dr Siu-Tai Tsim, Coordinator of the Environment and Development Centre and Associate Professor with the Division of Science and Technology, said the project involved students into practical action, resulting in sustainable development efforts of campus.

“The students involved are from different majors. We need not only from environmental science, but also from other fields of expertise,” he added.
