Mr. Tim Morin at the Social Enterprise - Experience Sharing Session
Mr. Tim Morin is a member of the board of directors of the Minnesota Private Colleges Council (MPCC), and a co-founder of the Social Venture Partners Minnesota. He shared his entrepreneurial experience with UIC students at the Social Enterprise - Experience Sharing Session on November 13.
Mr. Morin has served as a leader and successful entrepreneur in senior marketing, sales and business development roles for several high-tech firms while engaging actively with various community organizations.
He talked about the relationships between the individual, the family, and the society; how to receive supportive energy from the family; how to communicate with other people; and how to face challenges in life.
While reflecting on the importance of dealing with the challenges he faced while still a youngster, Mr. Morin said that society is a connection among strangers, therefore, one has to have a strong ability in leadership to become successful in business.
"Why wait for others to tell us what to do, why not to do it ourselves, and do it now?" He encouraged.
