Over 100 students attended information session for Overseas Summer Programmes 2013

On 3 January 2013, IDO held an Information Session announcing the 11 Summer Programmes that are available for UIC students in June-August 2013. Over 100 students attended the event expressing their interests in the various initiatives.

IDO works closely with UIC’s 18 international partners to make sure that a highly enjoyable and beneficial education and cultural experience is offered to all those students who meet the selection criteria and choose to spend their summer holidays abroad.

IDO is in regular contact with the International Offices of all partner institutions to make sure that all preparations are done in a timely manner.

To avoid disappointment students must observe the following dates and deadlines:  

3 January 2013               -      First Information Session

Late February 2013        -      Second Information Session

10 March2013                -     Application Deadline

Early April 2013               -     Visa Training and Meeting with Group leaders and Students

Late April 2013                -     Visa Application

Middle of May 2013         -     Second Visa Application if needed

June/July2013                 -     Summer Programmes Start 

In 2013 IDO will partner with 10 higher education institutions in USA, UK, France, Canada, and South Korea. The programmes on offer were designed with different focuses and were tailor made to fit the needs of UIC students. Applicants will be selected based on their academic performance, English language ability and participation in extra-curricular activities. All summer programmes are for Year-1 to Year-3 students with GPA 2.0.
