In the speech, Prof. Li suggested that morality could create "extraordinary efficiency". Physical technology generates general efficiency, but "extraordinary efficiency" results from people's morality. In his opinion, Chinese people's braveness and enthusiasm in the period of anti-imperialism invasion was a typical example showing the power of extraordinary efficiency brought by morality. People pulling together during the earthquake in Wenchuan and Yushu also demonstrated that. In addition, the extraordinary efficiency of migrant societies, such as the Hakka who live in Guangdong and Fujian Province, also came from moral and family ethics.

Besides, Prof. Li believed that the sense of identification could generate cohesiveness. From his point of view, the Chinese saying "sharing joys and sorrows" were sustained by two different mechanisms. Sharing joys depends on social systems, while the latter depends on the spirit which is based on sense of identification. The core for the construction of campus culture, organizational culture and community culture was the building of the sense of identification.

When it came to the topic of operation and management, Prof. Li emphasized that management is the allocation of resources when the capital is fixed, but operation refers to value-adding activities when the capital is not fixed. Therefore, the effect of operation is more significant than that of management. We should learn to operate, knowing that market demands can be created.

During the Q&A section, Prof. Li said university students should learn to make a plan for their life. Life is unpredictable, thus laying a good foundation is indispensable in front of different possibilities. Another student asked about the elements for a successful educational institution. Prof. Li used Guanghua School of Management as an example. He pointed out the essence of having education achievements is to offer best teaching and learning resources to students while creating a good campus culture and learning atmosphere is also a must.

Mr. Yuan, a year 2 BNU student said the HTD was a huge success and he benefited a lot from Prof. Li's speech and the communication with other guests and students.
