UIC and the College of St. Scholastica (CSS), member of the Minnesota Private College Council (MPCC), reached an agreement on student exchange program on March 13, 2008. The agreement will come into effect in the next academic year.
Thomas A. Homan, Director of Office of International Education, CSS, said that the education philosophy of UIC and its great effort in promoting liberal education were impressing. He welcomed UIC students of different programs to CSS for academic exchange. He encouraged them to actively participate in exchange programs, holding that these programs would broaden students' perspective and provide opportunity for them to expose to different culture and education systems.
So far, UIC has signed student exchange agreements with four members of the MPCC: Bethany Lutheran College, Gustavus Adolphus College, Hamline University and St, Scholastica College. According to UIC International Affairs Office, every year UIC will send four to six students to each of the above institutions for academic exchange. There is no program/ grade limit for application. Detailed requirements depend on the admitting institutions.
