Published on 27 November 2007

The two-day Macau Education Exhibition 2007 opened on Nov. 10 in the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel, featuring local universities as well as universities from the U.K., the U.S., Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Hong Kong and Taiwan. As the only college from Mainland China, UIC attracted the attentions from students and parents from Macau.

As UIC representatives, Dr. Ricky Hou, Deputy Academic Registrar, Prof. Paul Hockings, General Education Office, and Assistant Professor Dr. Fiona Lock attended the exhibition. Their patient responses to the enquiries were highly regarded by visitors. Five UIC student volunteers also attended the exhibition. They shared with the visitors their personal experience at UIC, reassuring the visitors of the advantages of studying at UIC.

According to UIC representatives, participating in education exhibitions was helpful in attracting more students with good academic performance to study at UIC next year.
