On January 13th, 2007, UIC was honored to receive a delegation from Computer Science Department of HKBU. The main purpose of the visit was to discuss the prospective collaboration between two institutions.
Prof. Zee Sze Yong, Dean of Science and Technology, and Dr. Ricky Hou, the Deputy Registrar of UIC received the guests. Dr. H. P. Guo, the CS Prof. Coordinator gave the guests a brief introduction of UIC.
The guests then had meeting with the UIC CS staff discussing the prospective cooperation in future, including the student exchange program and invited talks. They also discussed the possibility of setting up a Software Research Center together at Zhuhai to develop in the following suggested fields: Design and Animation, Information Security System, Internet Business Platform and AI applications. They exchanged their opinions upon the related issues and later expressed that the communication was meaningful and useful for the cooperation between these two Institutions.
