Currently, Quan Huilin is pursuing her master's degree in Communication at UIC. Quan Huilin started professional skiing when she was 11. Before retiring, she was in the Chinese national team of Aerial Ski. Quan was the winner of the World Junior Championship in 2012 and 2013. In addition, she was awarded "the international level" by the General Administration of Sport of China.

According to Quan, freestyle skiing aerials require high-level coordination, despite being a risky sport. Through hundreds and thousands of times of practice, she overcame anxiety and kept improving her skills. On the way to her dreams, she always had belief in herself.
More than ten years of skiing has fostered Quan's strong will and ability to handle stress. After her retirement in 2018, Quan Huilin started to coach skiing. Through coaching, she met her current employer in the finance industry. As a result, she changed her path from an athlete to a financial professional and started preparing for relevant certificates.
Quan decided to come to UIC for further studies because she wishes to have more professional knowledge in communication. After her research, Quan Huilin chose UIC's Master of Arts in Communication because of its international curriculum and strong faculty. Zhuhai is also a quiet city where Quan Huilin can focus on her studies.
Now, Quan Huilin hopes to use her own experience and knowledge to promote winter sports on campus and in the city. She was invited to the 2021 Harvard Summit for Young Leaders in China to share her experience. In the future, Quan plans to establish her ski brand. She is not afraid of the new challenges that she will face.
