The 'Chill on Saturday, Release the Soul' exhibition that showcases students' works from UIC's Whole Person Education Experiential Arts Course was held at the Cultural Creativity Clusters on 17 May and will last until 27 May. Nearly 400 works by more than 300 students are on display in the exhibition. The works include ceramic art, paper art, oil painting, watercolour sketching and creation, lacquer painting, glass craft design, and derivative exhibits of traditional Chinese music known as Yayue court music and Guqin courses.

Behind the successful opening of the exhibition, there is a group of imaginative and enthusiastic curatorial team members who created this artistic and aesthetic journey for the audience with their creative ideas and efforts.





Culture, Creativity and Management student, Zhang Jiaying, is the leader of the curatorial team. She said that by planning the exhibition with her teammates, her understanding of curatorial work had been deepened and extended.

As the photography team leader, Public Relations and Advertising student, Liang Xiaolan said that the planning of this exhibition was a test for her creativity and coordination ability. She was very proud of herself and the successful launch of the exhibition.

The leader of the publicity group, Culture, Creativity and Management student, Fang Mengjia, mentioned that through this event, she found out that the empty exhibition hall could be arranged and decorated wonderfully from scratch.
