UIC has established a forth division to its academic programmes. The “Division of Culture and Creativity (DCC)” was approved by the Senate of Hong Kong Baptist University at the 1st meeting (20015-16). Three existing programmes (i.e. “BA (Hons) in Cinema and Television”; “BBA (Hons) in Culture, Creativity and Management”; and “Minor in Music”) will be transferred over to the new Division. Also there will be a new programme in this Division, “BCom (Hons) in Media Arts and Design” programme will begin in the 2016 to 2017 academic year.
UIC is in the process of searching globally for the Dean of the Division of Culture and Creativity (DCC). Currently, Prof. Chih-Yung Aaron Chiu has been appointed as the Interim Dean of DCC with immediate effect until its newly-appointed Dean assumes office. Prof Chiu is a Professor of Cinema and Television and the Programme Director-designate of Media Arts and Design at UIC.
