On 11 December 2025, Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Affiliated School of JNU for Hong Kong and Macao Students (ASJ), marking the formal launch of a new partnership aimed at talent development, internship opportunities, and academic exchange. The collaboration is expected to further promote resource sharing and coordinated talent cultivation within the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.

BNBU signs cooperation agreements with ASJ's representatives
Guided by Jinan University, it is an international school established under the background of the Greater Bay Area and the Pilot Demonstration Area. It is the first school for Hong Kong and Macao students in the Greater Bay Area under the supervision of a well-known university.
Under the agreement, ASJ will offer internship placements for BNBU students, enabling eligible participants to gain hands-on experience in teaching and administrative settings. In return, BNBU will support outstanding ASJ students in their transition to university education. The two institutions will also strengthen cooperation through academic lectures, seminars, and tailored university guidance talks, fostering closer interaction between faculty and students.
BNBU President Prof Chen Zhi noted that the partnership reflects a shared educational vision and a commitment to nurturing students with global perspectives, interdisciplinary competence, and social responsibility. ASJ Principal Mr Zhao Junning described the collaboration as a meaningful step in advancing education cooperation and internationalisation in the Greater Bay Area, with the goal of cultivating future-ready talent equipped to contribute to society.
