BNBU continued to broaden its regional and international footprint in 2025, leading major forums, strengthening academic partnerships, and expanding its overseas presence. The university brought together scholars, industry leaders and policymakers to explore the future of business, education and global trade.
A delegation led by BNBU President Prof Chen Zhi visited Malaysia from 2 to 5 July 2025, to explore new opportunities for international cooperation. During the visit, the delegation met with the Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Mr Chow Kon Yeow and visited multiple educational institutions. These engagements aimed to deepen and expand collaboration between BNBU and Malaysia in the fields of education and scientific research.

In July 2025, the BNBU Boston Center successfully held a lecture themed on “The Science of Money” lecture series. This lecture was a key session of the BNBU Boston Center summer programme, which is designed to provide an in-depth exploration of the diverse social phenomena in the US.

The first Greater Bay Area Future of Business Forum was held in Macao from 5 to 6 September 2025. Co-hosted by BNBU and Hong Kong Baptist University, the forum brought together over 300 scholars, industry leaders and students. Themed “Envisioning the Future of Business and Liberal Arts Education in the Age of Intelligence”, the event discussed business transformation, educational reform, and the evolving work landscape in the AI era.

The 5th Annual Conference on Port and Shipping Economic Systems Engineering cum the 3rd Conference on Transportation and Supply Chain Resilience and Digital Transformation was successfully held at BNBU from 21 to 23 November 2025. Over 100 scholars gathered to delve into the impact of new global trade policies on shipping and ports.
