Beijing Normal–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) has announced new initiatives to further support educational collaboration in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area.
From 2026, BNBU will introduce two additional admission routes for Hong Kong and Macao students, including recruitment through the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination and a direct admission scheme for Macao students. These new pathways complement the University’s existing admission mechanisms for students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and other overseas Chinese communities, offering more diversified access to higher education.

Building on this development, BNBU signed cooperation agreements on 20 January 2026 with four major Hong Kong education organisations: the Kowloon Regional Schools Heads Association, The Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools Company Limited, the New Territories School Heads Association, and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals. The partnerships aim to promote collaboration in talent cultivation, internships, academic exchange and educational engagement.

Under the agreements, BNBU will leverage its higher education resources to provide academic guidance, university admission support and career planning services to students from member schools of the partner organisations, alongside joint academic lectures and seminars. In return, the participating education bodies will offer internships and practical training opportunities to BNBU students in teaching and other practices.
