UIC provides disability services at Jinwan Centre

Jinwan Centre for Disability Services (Jinkangyuan Branch, Zhuhai) was unveiled on 30 April.

Jinkangyuan will provide free services to disabled children, teenagers, and adults, including rehabilitation, education, fostering, and vocational training. In addition, UIC's Centre for Social Management Research and Services has been conducting professional services project. It will continue to bring the institution's advantages and apply knowledge to help the disabled participate in activities in society practically. At the same time, UIC wants to create a space for the integrated development of rehabilitation services for the disabled in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and continuously enrich, develop and improve the local rehabilitation work theory and practice knowledge system.

In his speech, Prof Chen Zhi first extended his congratulations to the unveiling ceremony. He also mentioned that this project meets with UIC's missions since UIC has been serving the community since its establishment. UIC will take this opportunity to collaborate with the government to rehabilitate the disabled.

The professional services conducted by UIC will be focusing on promoting service innovation, deepening collaboration in the Greater Bay Area and cultivating local talents to achieve more sustainable development.

After the ceremony, Prof Chen Zhi visited some services centres in Jinkangyuan. During the visit, he encouraged the UIC students interning at Jinkangyuan to seize the opportunity and promote their professional skills.
