Abstract:
1.Basics of Arabic and Islamic Civilization
-Is supposed to show the factors which formed Islamic Civilization
-Arab contributions
-The way how the Muslims used all former local cultures and traditions sources to make their own one
2.Contributions of Islamic Civilization
- How does the Islamic civilization present itself in architecture, fine arts, science, calligraphy, manuscripts, stamps with examples from various ages from the beginning of Islam to recent times and different countries like Persia, Turkey, Syria, etc. with a special focus on Egypt .

WPEO “Community of Common Destiny for Mankind” Lecture Series 2017/1018（WPEO2017/2018"构建人类命运共同体"系列讲座）
Thousands of years ago, China envisaged a world where people live in perfect harmony and are as dear to one another as family. Today, President Xi Jinping has proposed a new name for the old dream-- a community of common destiny ( 人类命运共同体 ). The concept of a community of common destiny transcends all sorts of differences in human society and targets greatest possible benefits for all people on the earth. The Belt and Road Initiative is a concrete strategy to realize this great dream.
The mutual understanding and learning between different cultures is crucial for building the community of common destiny. In order to promote inter-civilization exchanges and dialogues, the WPEO plans to launch a series of guest lectures on the community of common destiny for all mankind in the academic year of 2017/18. The lecture series consists of talks on the following five topics:
• Egypt and Islamic Civilization
• India and Hinduism
• Russia and the Orthodox
• China and Confucianism
• Europe and the Western Civilization
