Nine UIC scholars in latest world's top 2% scientists list

Stanford University scholars have recently released an update of the World's Top 2% Scientists list, in which nine UIC scholars were selected.

Among them, UIC President, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Academy of Sciences Prof Tang Tao; Vice President (Research and Development) and Dean of Graduate School Prof Jia Weijia; Chair Professor Wang Qing-Guo of the Department of Computer Science; Chair Professor, Department Head of Life Sciences Prof Xu Baojun; Associate Department Head of Management Prof Adolf K.Y. Ng; and Prof Wang Tian of the Department of Computer Science entered both sub-lists of career-long impact and single year impact.

In addition, Prof Yu Hongnian of the Department of Computer Science; Associate Department Head of Computer Science Dr Luo Zongwei; and Associate Professor Dr Cang Shuang of the Department of Statistics and Data Science were shortlisted for their single-year impact.

The result shows that the nine selected UIC scholars have made a high impact in and outstanding contributions to their research fields.
