The Department of Education of Guangdong Province announced the 2023 Guangdong University Quality Assurance Project, and four UIC teachers were selected for the list. Eight UIC teachers have been awarded the project in the past three years.
The 2023 awardees were Prof Pan Jianxin of UIC's Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) with his project focusing on talent development in Statistics and Data Science; Dr Hu Chenguang from the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM) on talent cultivation in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the context of digital China; Dr He Ping from FST on simulation experiment based on interactive learning in Statistics; and Dr Xu Xi from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) on the combination of Podcast with the teaching of English Literature.

The 2022 awarded teachers were Prof Johnston Wong from FHSS with his project on emergency response and social practice, and Prof Deng Yuhui from FST on the practice of heuristic teaching and intelligent evaluation system construction.

The 2021 awarded teachers were Dr Kuo Yi-Lung from FST with his project on Centre for Undergraduate Teacher Development, and Dr Wu Jingjin from FST on the practice and research of Case Studies in mathematical Modeling.
