Building bridges: UIC Alumni Ambassadors bring graduates and college closer

UIC held the 2022 Alumni Ambassadors Appointment Ceremony on 19 May 2022. A total of 34 students were appointed ambassadors (five postgraduates and 29 undergraduates).

UIC Provost Prof Chen Zhi delivered a speech at the ceremony. He mentioned that the ambassadors bridged the alumni and the university, presenting the spirits of liberal arts education and commitment.

Vice President (Research and Development), Dean of Graduate School, Prof Jia Weijia, congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors.

Student representatives also shared their feelings at the ceremony.

Fouth-year undergraduate student of the Computer Science and Technology (CST) Programme Li Xin said that being UIC's ambassador connected him closely with the university although he would leave the campus soon.

Wang Chenxuan is a postgraduate from the 2022 Communication Studies Programme. She said that studying at UIC furnished her with an abundant and happy academic life, and it was an honour to be able to give back to the College.
