The 13th Zhuhai College Students Charity Forum was held at UIC on 19 November 2022 by UIC's United Innovation Charity Club (UICC) under the guidance of the Whole Person Education Centre (WPEC).

Centre head of WPEC, Prof Shi Lei, said in his speech that the forum is a platform that mobilises all sectors of society, especially undergraduates, to develop charity and community services. It is also an extension of the WPEC Voluntary Service courses.

Tang Lin, the president of UICC, shared some projects they had done and reviewed the previous forums.

During the keynote speech session, four distinguished guests praised the positive effect of the Internet towards philanthropic development and public welfare.

Mr Tang Min, Founder of the Friends of Spirit Community, Shenzhen

Dr Chan Kam Tong, Associate Professor of UIC FHSS

Ms Mumu, Initiator of the Marine Conservation Voluntary Association at Dongshan County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province

Ms Wu Si, Responsible person for the Chinese Internet fund-raising event

Then, Associate Professor of UIC MCOM, Dr Edgar Yuen, Mr Tang Min, and Dr Chan Kam Tong discussed the requirements and definitions of public welfare based on the forum's theme. Dr Yuen said that the Internet offered infinite space to develop, but people should be self-disciplined and keep their original aspiration when contributing to public welfare in the new era.
